AI FOR DERMATOLOGY

Encouraged by our early results in Acne AI, Skin Cancer AI and other projects, on July 4th 2021 we officially co-founded with our partners the US-based company Belle Torus Corp. (Belle.ai) to develop and commercialize AI-based solutions for dermatology and dermocosmetics.
We also co-founded Torus Engineering Vietnam (TEV) to take care of the engineering part of it. The Skin AI group at Torus, helped by the other groups, takes care of the creation of core AI modules in this vast project.
Together with our partners and medical doctors, we have created 40+ dermatology AI modules, from the detection of thousands (almost all) skin diseases to the detailed segmentation and severity scoring of common diseases such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, alopecia areata, etc.
BelleTorus counts among its customers and partners many pharmaceutical companies, CROs, private and public hospitals, governemental organizations and NGOs around the world, including WHO (World Health Organization) and NIH (National Institutes of Health):
Belle.ai has been awarded a US patent for PASI AI (AI-aided psoriasis severity scoring). Other patents are pending.
Torus is a member of the European Research Council’s (ERC) Horizon 2020 project, named iToBoS, for skin cancer detection. In 2019, when we just started the work on AI for dermatology, our team won the 1st Runner-Up Prize in the ISIC 2019 International Challenge of Skin Cancer detection.

Skin cancer
Skin Cancer AI is made for accurate early detection of skin cancer. It's mission is to make skin cancer detection more accessible, hence save lives, save time, save money for patients, doctors and the national healthcare system.

1K diseases
1K Diseases is an image-based tool for detecting almost all skin diseases (circa 2000 different diseases for the latest version), including skin tumors, infections and infestations, inflammatory skin diseases, genodermatoses, tropical skin diseases, drug reactions, oral diseases, nail diseases, etc.

Dryness
This AI module can segment and score the dry skin based on images. The system returns heatmaps for the following features: texture, cracks, peeling and color.

Elasticity
Our AI can measure the severity of elastosis, in other words the loss of elasticity of the skin. The heatmaps show the regions where the elasticity of the skin is degraded or not.

Melasma
This feature measures the melasma severity of the skin. The heatmaps allow to localize and score the different regions of the skin.

PASI AI
This solution segments and scores psoriasis lesions on the skin by focusing on a specific image. The local PASI AI module will be then used to build the full body PASI.

Pores
This module measures the relative size of the pores. The intensity of the heatmaps depends on how big the pores are.
